Meet the Band

Our superstar singer Millie has been singing for over a decade. She is fluent in Spanish as well as English so the band can perform songs in either language as required

Millie has performed on Spanish National TV, at fiestas across Spain as well as being a professional singer and dancer in tribute acts across the Balearic Islands 

Millie is a keen Zumba enthusiast, running classes to fundraise for the Royal British Legion

Millie lives with her cat Nut Nut in Pego as well as being a fantastic band auntie to Lola and Ted

Jools has been playing bass for over 50 years, with experience across many musical genres.

He started playing piano at the age of 4, then moved to flute and clarinet until finally the influence of the bands at his school drew him in and started on bass guitar at 12 years old.

Jools moved to Spain in 2013 and has played in a number of bands including as a session musician at a couple of festivals in the UK in the summer of 2021, supporting bands like Republica, Scouting for Girls and Supergrass, and also played on the largest permanent stage in Europe – Benidorm Palace!

Jools and his wife, Sarah, run Sanju Sanctuary charity, raising and homing abandoned kittens in Javea and the surrounding areas, and live in Javea with their mad dog, Harper, and 7 cats - plus any number of rescue kittens!

Following a long break from being a professional musician John formed the NBB with his current band mates.

Having played in numerous bands over the years he was a London based session musician in the 70's & 80s and also a recording artist.

Through his musical career he has met many well known musicians and favours the 70s and 80s as his most significant time in the industry. Following a brief break from playing he joined the well known southern band Red Hot & Blue and remained with them for nearly 10 years.

He then ceased public performances to concentrate on and study Classical Guitar.

John has taken to the stage in many leading venues and when only 17 years old competed  in the 'Melody Maker' finals with his own  band. 

Now he really enjoys the thrill of performing with his current band mates Martin, Millie, Jools and Christian in the New Blanca Band and also in the duo Autumn Leaves.

Martin has been drumming for 45 years and was playing working mans clubs in the south of England from the age of 15

He has big band experience and has played the infamous Bulldog Bash and a party political conference in the 90s

Martins family have had a holiday home in Spain for 55 years and he made the permanent here move 4 years ago

He lives in Orba with his wife Molly and his two big bear dogs Lola and Ted

Christian is a self-taught, British keyboard player and composer. 

Since moving to Spain he has worked in a number of bands and projects, including a line up of Humble Pie that toured Romania,  Spanish band “Ibiza” that played the fiesta circuit of Spain and most recently an original band project that recorded an album and supported Roachford on tour in Germany.

He has several YouTube channels which are mainly piano and keyboard focused and have over 2 million subscribers and over a billion hits.

He is an original soundtrack composer for some well known video games on Roblox.

He currently lives in Javea with his family.
